Some people are born lucky, other not so much so...Some people become rich and famous, others work hard all their lives without much hope...Some are extremely talented and yet no one ever hears about them, but we all know about Paris Hilton's last night out...It's true that Life is what we make of it, but a little bit of luck will not hurt no one. Bad or good... Lucky or unlucky...

I created the first model of what became the GL Puppy in 1998. It was made out of
oven baked clay, and I made it for the pure fun of it. I called it "Jaff", and I used it as a character in one of my early comic strips. Soon, however, I noticed that when (believe it or not) I had that little toy with me, good things happened. It became my talisman of a sort.

During one of my travels, the original GL Puppy got lost (or someone stole it), so I had to make new ones. I believe in their positive energy and I still carry one in my pocket as a lucky charm...Friends asked me to create some GL Puppies for them, and that's when it occurred to me -- the message of good, love and harmony, peace and positive vibrations will be appreciated by more people.

The idea of the Good Luck Puppy was born.
